The Veeam Data Cloud team is seeking a strategic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our FedRamp Engineering team. In this role you will lead the development and maintenance of a FedRAMP-compliant version of our SaaS product. You will partner closely with security, compliance and product teams to deliver a secure and scalable solution for government customers.
Your tasks will include:
- Oversee the design, development, and operations of a FedRAMP-compliant version of our SaaS product
- Partner with compliance teams to meet FedRAMP requirements, including security controls, documentation, and audits
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to align features with compliance and functional needs
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on this initiative
- Develop monitoring, incident response, and support processes tailored to a regulated environment
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment practices suited for secure, compliant operations
- Plan and manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery
- Actively participate in design discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
- Act as a point of escalation during on-call and support the team as needed during on-call
- Promote Operational Excellence best practices across your team
- Remove organizational bottlenecks and blockers for your teams and projects
What we expect from you:
- 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams to build successful SaaS products in a fast-paced environment
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
- Experience with Azure
- Experience interacting with Federal customers
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in building and maintaining FedRAMP-compliant products
- Deep understanding of FedRAMP requirements, including security controls, documentation, and audit processes
- Experience implementing secure development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and operational processes in compliance-focused environments
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with compliance, product, and operations stakeholders
- Experience managing vendor relationships and external partnerships to support compliance efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
