Snowflake is looking for an experienced HRIS Analyst to join our HR Tech team to develop and deliver reporting solutions across Workday HCM. This position will build and maintain our Workday reporting infrastructure and create scalable solutions to help enable the business. This role will work alongside our People Analytics & Insights team to understand business needs, advise on Workday data architecture, and build data pipelines to our internal instance of Snowflake.
This is a hybrid role based in our Dublin, CA Office and 3 days a week in-office attendance is required.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, gain deep understanding of key initiatives and business needs, align on data definitions, conduct analysis & recommend reporting solutions, and drive development end to end
- Develop a governance framework for managing our report inventory including defining standards for naming conventions, report tagging, data source usage, discoverability, and sharing
- Continuously optimize our custom reports as business needs and Workday functionality change, keeping scalability and accuracy in mind
- Partner with integrations developers and security & module leads on projects and day to day operations
- Support ongoing audit and compliance reporting needs
- Provide production support including triaging tickets, troubleshooting data issues, providing end-user support, researching alternative solutions and features, and delivering on enhancement requests
- Assess new Workday features and conduct regression testing during Workday release cycles
- Ensure data integrity across Workday and downstream systems; adhere to data governance, compliance, and security policies
- Document processes and procedures, assist with end-user training and creation of quick reference guides
- Promote and utilize best practices, holistic design, and thorough testing to ensure quality work and system stability
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- 5+ years of demonstrable hands-on Workday reporting solutioning, development, and support experience on a global scale
- Strong experience with Workday custom reports, data sources, calculated fields, security, dashboards, embedded analytics, scheduled reports & alerts, BIRT, RaaS
- In-depth knowledge of Workday foundational concepts, business processes, data architecture, functional application of modules such as HCM, Compensation, Talent, Absence
- Working knowledge of Workday integrations (e.g. EIB, CCB)
- Solid understanding of HR processes and programs, employee life cycle, and HR data flows
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data governance, handling sensitive data, and SOX compliance
- Excellent project management and verbal & written communication skills; ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and focus on quality
- Quick learner of new technologies; “outside-the-box” thinker who enjoys finding creative and scalable solutions to business challenges
- Operate with a customer service mindset, can-do attitude, grace under pressure
