THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Senior Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Engineering Gatekeeper to join our team. As a Senior Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Engineering Gatekeeper, you will divide time between PCB Design and PCB/ECAD Library related work. This work involves designing RF, Analog, Digital, and mix-signal circuits across multiple programs.

This is a full-time position. The salary range for this role is $133,000 - $145,000, depending on level of experience.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:

  • Manage access, training, and maintaining component libraries, electrical Computer Aided Design (ECAD) templates, as well as circuit board design rules, best practices for circuit board manufacturing and assembly.
  • Create and maintain solder pad footprints for ECAD library from component vendor data sheets and IPC guidelines, in addition to 3D Models of ECAD library parts for use by Mechanical Engineering.
  • Lead the component selection process which includes design review, proper implementation, alternates identification, longevity, supply chain assurance, utilizing preferred suppliers, and serve as the primary liaison between internal electrical engineering and external support contractors.
  • Manage PCB manufacturing/production packages that include component placement data, netlists, BOM generation, artwork and assembly/test documentation for production/sustaining support.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 5 years of electrical engineering experience to include:
    • Analog and digital electronic circuit design and development
    • Drafting electrical schematic, associated part symbols, component footprints, and PCB layout (ECAD) for rigid and flexible board designs
    • Preparing fabrication and assembly notes for PCB fabrication
    • 2 years of experience managing and maintaining electronic component libraries in ECAD and PLM systems.
