Role Description:
The Benefits Analyst will play a critical role within the Total Rewards team by providing full cycle administration of the ShipBob Benefit programs, including self-insured medical, dental, vision, life insurance and short and long term disability. This role also partners with vendors and benefit brokers to resolve benefit questions and issues, providing excellent customer service to our employees.
As a Benefits Analyst, you will partner with the Global Benefits Manager to help build comprehensive processes and procedures and ensure that we are providing best-in-class service to our employees.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of US benefits, including New Hire enrollments, Qualifying Life Events, COBRA and inquiries from employees.
- Conduct regular audits and analysis of benefit enrollments, trends and claims data.
- Main point of contact with employees and Absence Management vendor for Leave Administration, including FMLA, STD/LTD, Leave as an Accommodation and Paid Parental Leave.
- Assist with Open Enrollment, including system testing and set up, preparation of employee facing materials and auditing enrollments post OE.
- Assist with the implementation of new benefit programs or changes to existing programs.
- Monthly Benefit billing reconciliation, including self-billed platforms.
- Assist with various regulatory/compliance tasks, including ACA reporting.
- Periodically update internal Benefits SharePoint site.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- At least 3 years of experience administering US benefits; International Benefit experience a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in benefit administration platforms and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Familiarity with different state leave laws.
- Understanding of benefit regulations and compliance requirements (ERISA, ADA, ACA, etc.).
- Proactive communication skills and timely follow-up and follow-through.
- Resiliency – ability to manage conflicting and shifting priorities.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. We are targeting a salary range of $60,000 - $96,625 for this role. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $57,975 - $96,625.
