Business Development Intern

SHINE Technologies is seeking a Business Development Intern to work on SHINE’s “Phase III” program to assess economical means to recycle valuable materials from spent nuclear fuel. The person in the role will support economic modeling and business plan development for SHINE’s UNF recycling facility. Additionally, the Business Development Intern may support similar projects related to other aspects of SHINE’s business such as medical isotope production. This role operates in a fast-paced research and development environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Intern include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluating process flows and equipment for the separation of desired elements from spent nuclear fuel streams to assess costs
- Working with construction, engineering, finance, and business teams to analyze program costs and develop business plans
- Assists in all aspects of the business development process
- Enrolled in MBA program or relevant Chemical/Mechanical/Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry, or Radiochemistry programs
- Willingness to learn and understand new technology, instrumentation and technical processes
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to read from engineering drawings or schematics
- Ability to follow written procedures and accurately record test data
- Ability to work safely within an industrial and radiation environment
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
