Responsible for selling the company’s products; primary responsibility may include finding, generating, and developing new distribution/retail partners in order to sell the company’s products to end-users. Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within the distribution or retail sales channel. Creates awareness and demand for company products.

Customers may be geographic or named accounts. If unable to distinguish between levels or only one level of account manager within the company, match to the career level. The most highly populated individual contributor level (up to 75-80% of the individual contributor sales population) might be matched to the career level. No more than 15-20% of individual contributor sales population would typically be matched to the advanced level. Regional or national (country-wide) account managers should be matched to the Country Strategic Account Manager set of jobs.

Your day-to-day

·Regular interaction with key National partner principals, executives, sales and sales management

·Conduct regular enablement sessions with partner sales teams to ensure they understand and can articulate Proofpoint’s SAAS Value Proposition

·Work with the Channel Marketing team to drive marketing programs with focused National Partner(s) and ensure that activities tie back to a successful ROI

·Assist with driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business

·Define and deploy GTM strategic plans to deepen our traction with key National Partner(s), reviewing and re-assessing quarterly.

·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace

· Meet or exceed channel quotas

·Oversee relationship building activities and account mapping activities between Proofpoint sales organization and focused National Partner(s)

·Regularly interact directly with National Partner(s) and customers

·Candidate must reside in Austin, Texas

·Strong cross functional leadership and excellent communications skills to drive consensus across those groups both internally and within the partner organization/s.

·Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value

·Ability to work in a fast moving environment, to prioritize effectively to think big picture, and to use good judgment in resolving difficult issues

·Bachelor’s Degree

·Existing relationships within all levels at focused National Partner(s)

·7+ Years experiencing working within the security and networking industry managing national partners
