The ideal candidate will have at least 10-year experience with a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and data engineering. Additionally, candidate comes with a passion for sports and has general knowledge of sports and ability to learn and grow this knowledge. The ideal candidate should have extensive years of experience working in cloud environment with proficiency preferably in Azure. The candidate is responsible in implementing the data engineering ecosystem of the company. The candidate will also be working and driving the Dev Ops areas such as containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is also essential.
The ideal candidate has a strong experience in the Data Ingestion and Data Transformation (ETL/ELT) of data from various data sources such as RDBS, Web Portals and Rest-Api. The candidate is responsible in the data lake implementation and data management of these data. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in scripting and programming languages like Python, and data analysis languages such as SQL. Furthermore, the candidate should have an exposure with large language models (LLM) and ML cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments in Sales, Marketing, and Underwriting to understand and participate in building innovative insurance and sports products. This role will report to the head of Data Analytics team and is available to work remotely or from our Minneapolis Office. Players Health is a distributed workforce that offers a flexible, remote and/or hybrid work environment. The Data Engineer role has a base pay range of $130,000 - $185,000, depending on skills and experience.

- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services to support data engineering and analytics workloads.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data processing and analytics applications.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of data solutions.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based data platforms.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and applications.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.

- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure (Cloud Ops), Dev Ops, and data engineering.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledgeable with infrastructure-as-code tools like Bicep, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Knowledgeable with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops.
- Knowledgeable in scripting and programming languages such as Python.
- 10+ years of experience in data analysis languages like SQL for data management and administration
- 7+ years of experience in data ingestion (ETL/ELT) tools such as ADF, Informatica
- 5+ years of experience in Data Transformation such as python to ingest data from Rest-Api and Web Portals
- 5+ years of experience in implementing Data Lake infrastructure and security
- Experience in Native and Cross platform Integration of various Cloud Resources
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Kafka.
- Knowledge of LLM and ML cloud infrastructure.
- 5+ experience in Databricks platform
- 5+ experience in RDBMS like Snowflake, Postgres, or SQL Server platform

- 10+ years in Azure cloud environment.
- Knowledgeable with CI/CD tools such as Git , Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops.
- 5+ years of experience in implementing Data Lake infrastructure and security
- Extensive experience in Databricks platform
- 7+ years of experience in data ingestion tools such as ADF, SSIS, Informatica
- Knowledge of LLM and ML cloud infrastructure.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Transformation language such as python to ingest data from Rest-Api and Web Portals
- 5+ year experience working in the Insurance Domain
