Location: Hybrid, Alpharetta, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

Summary

The IT Specialist will be responsible for assisting internal employees with hardware and software needs. This role primarily involves responding to employee support tickets, setting up and maintaining workstations, and supporting tasks assigned by the internal IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will work effectively within a small team, collaborate on shared responsibilities, and engage with internal staff and managers to maintain the company's IT infrastructure.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be available to provide support and service to our customers (internal).
  • Provide efficient, effective, and positive customer support including incident troubleshooting and request fulfillment.
  • Provide telephone, in-person, and remote online support to employees.
  • Upon ticket submission, provide updates, status, and completion information to manager and/or users within ticketing system (ServiceNow).
  • Assist in hardware and software setup for new-hires and existing employees (e.g. imaging and configuring laptops).
  • Assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting onsite at local offices.
  • Assist with meeting and conference support at local offices, local venues, and out of state venues as needed.
  • Assist with projects as assigned.
  • Properly update and maintain all existing and new processes and discoveries in knowledge base.
  • Flexibility to address items outside normal business hours.
  • Participate in 24X7 rotating on-call schedule.
  • Assist internal IT team with other tasks as necessary.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
    • Any of the following certifications are a plus, but not required: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
    • 2–3 years of experience in the IT field with intermediate-level expertise and knowledge in the following:
      • End-user support, including incident management and request fulfillment.
      • Deskside support and troubleshooting.
      • Remote and telephone-based technical support.
      • Networking and infrastructure maintenance.
      • Office 365 administration and support.
      • Microsoft Windows 10/11.
      • Active Directory and Manage Engine AD Manager.
      • Anti-virus and malware scanning, detection, and mitigation.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Desktop administration, including imaging and patching (SCCM).
    • Experience with MacOS, including configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Multimedia/AV experience.
    • ServiceNow ITSM experience.
