Join our Columbus, Ohio client's dynamic team as a Software Engineer to spearhead the research, design, and development of cutting-edge computer software systems tailored for instrumentation supporting life science, metabolic, and environmental research. You’ll engage in hands-on work with the equipment, witnessing firsthand the impact of your contributions. This role offers flexibility with options for both in-office and hybrid work arrangements, with Mondays designated for in-office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Develops and direct software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.
  • Store, retrieve and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s in ComputerScience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing/designing desktop software (C#/.NET preferred).
  • Experience with designing user interfaces (WPF/XAML preferred).
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems / hardware preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
