Our client has a remote contract opportunity for a Functional Systems Analyst who will under limited supervision, perform a variety of technical duties associated with the retrieval, processing, and validation, editing and estimation of meter translation and load research data, interact with appropriate field and office personnel to resolve suspected metering or telecommunications problems, review, investigate and resolve interval data and billing data discrepancies. Works closely with Special Billing group handling interval data for (currently) 1.1 million customers.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

• Retrieve and process interval data (edit, estimate, validate when necessary) from field translation devices to PC translation system data storage medium.
• Perform validation checks to determine accuracy of field data and report missing data.
• Prepare accurate and timely transactions, reports and graphs.
• Assist with training newer employees.
• Communicate/work with field personnel to resolve issues with obtaining reads/intervals.
• Can perform or assist with application testing as required for group (or with cross functional teams) while writing proper test cases/documentation.

Requirements:

• Seasoned experience on PC-based Windows software such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word & Access
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail required to ensure precise data accuracy.
• MV90 Experience preferred
• MACSS or similar Customer Information Systems experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for working relationships with downstream and upstream service providers/internal customers
• Read/write SQL (structured query language) preferred but not required
• Occasional overtime and/or early schedules may be required periodically
• Self-directed and requires minimal supervision.
• 6 years of experience in IT systems support with High School Diploma
• 2 years of experience in IT systems support with Associate's Degree
• 0 years of experience in IT systems support with Bachelor's Degree in business or IT
• This is a remote position but candidates must reside within the client footprint.
