As an Android Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Android mobile app development to build and refine features and tools that bolster our platform’s trust and safety. You will be responsible for leading, designing, and implementing features that address security challenges and improve user experience. You will report to the Trust & Safety Engineering Manager.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our efforts to protect user data and build trust. Your contributions will directly impact the safety of our platform and the satisfaction of our users. You'll also have the opportunity to grow your skills and career in an exciting and meaningful space.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, develop, and enhance mobile app features to improve the safety and security of our platform.

  • Architect and implement scalable and secure solutions for both Android components.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security concerns and user trust issues.

  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders, product managers, and security experts to define and prioritize security and trust-related features.

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

  • Analyze and resolve complex technical problems related to security and data protection.

  • Contribute to the development of best practices and processes for code quality and security.

  • Engineer robust software solutions with a strong emphasis on high-quality development standards, ensuring reliability and maintainability.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in Android mobile app development.

  • Extensive experience with security practices, compliance requirements, and data protection frameworks.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, secure code and solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

The target salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $160,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
