About the Opportunity
We are seeking an People Operations Generalist for a fast-paced startup environment. Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You'll undertake a wide range of People Operations tasks, like owning candidates' experience, organizing training, answering employee’s questions, and administering employee benefits and leaves. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential.

- Practice excessive confidentiality and discretion since they work with sensitive employee data
- Handle employment-related questions
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
- Performs other duties as assigned
About You
- Interpersonal communication. The ability to correspond effectively with fellow People team members, employees, and leaders.
- Conflict resolution. The ability to mitigate conflict on behalf of any employees experiencing issues.
- Staffing. The ability to hire new employees, facilitate successful new employee onboarding procedures, and release employees whenever necessary.
- Teamwork. The ability to work alongside fellow People team members to collectively complete projects and provide a variety of human-related needs.
- Technological proficiency. The ability to successfully use all necessary pieces of technology, including any computers, tablets, phones, online tools, and human information data collection methods.
- Problem-solving. The ability to solve any issues that companies or their employees are facing.
- Reporting. The ability to create user-friendly reports that aggregate information sourced from HR information systems.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
