We want to expand our team by hiring a Director of Global Mobility, a team leader ready to make the role their own and bring new ideas and innovations to the table. Reporting to the VP of HRSD & Global Benefits, you will lead our Mobility team by designing, implementing, and executing the department strategy for our team and clients. The Director will partner with the VP, other leaders to provide sustainable growth for the business.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global mobility strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand talent needs and design mobility programs that support workforce planning.
- Vendor Management:
- Oversee relationships with external vendors, including immigration providers and tax providers.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and continuously assess vendor effectiveness.
- Technology Integration:
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies in the global mobility industry, such as AI-driven mobility platforms, data analytics tools, and virtual assignment management systems.
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams to implement innovative technologies that streamline immigration processes, enhance user experience, and improve data accuracy.
- Identify automation opportunities within the global mobility processes to reduce manual workload and minimize errors.
- Trend Analysis and Adaptation:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics related to global mobility.
- Lead a proactive approach to adapting policies and practices in response to evolving trends, such as remote work, flexible mobility options, and sustainability considerations.
- Client Retention Growth:
- Act as a client champion by maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations, and establishing regular communication channels with clients to gather feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement in global mobility services.
- Nurture existing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify upselling opportunities and work closely with the sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth through expanded services and solutions.
- Revenue Strategy:
- Develop and implement revenue-generating strategies for the global mobility department.
- Explore new business opportunities, partnerships, and service offerings to expand revenue streams while ensuring alignment with client needs and industry standards.
- Cost-Effective Solutions:
- Explore cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
- Implement efficiency measures, negotiate favorable contracts with vendors, and leverage technology to optimize operational costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and marketing, to align revenue strategies with broader organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration to ensure the success of revenue-generating initiatives and identify operational efficiencies.
- Team Performance and Development:
- Assume accountability for function, team and its performance.
- Drive performance by establishing clear expectations for function, team, and individual goals and metrics.
- Implement an effective performance management system, including regular check-ins, goal setting, and constructive feedback, to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promote a sense of ownership and accountability for results, encouraging team members to take initiative and contribute to the overall success of the global mobility department.
- Ensure the global mobility team is well-equipped with the skills and knowledge required to support revenue strategies.
- Provide training on client engagement, negotiation, and effective communication to enhance the team's ability to drive revenue.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of revenue strategies.
- Regularly report on revenue metrics, client satisfaction, business development initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiencies to senior leadership.
- Conduct regular assessments of existing processes to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Leverage data to make informed decisions for the business.
- Utilize data insights to drive continuous improvement and ensure data accuracy in reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years in the global mobility space
- Both in-house and consulting experience in Global Mobility
- Extensive experience in global mobility management, including immigration, vendor management, and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of international employment laws, immigration regulations, and tax considerations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and cultures.
- Proven leadership experience in a global HR or mobility role.
